Mourning A Loss In Our Skating Family
The Wallaceburg Skating Club along with the community suffered a sudden loss this past Saturday.

As most have probably heard, our former skater, Rhyann Vandamme, daughter of former coach Alisa Vandamme and her husband Chad, has passed away.

To say Rhyann had a gift would be an understatement.   A beautiful skater, a leader to look up to and a friendly team mate both on and off the ice, just doesn't seem to explain the light this young woman possessed.

Watching Rhyann and sister Olivia be coached by their mom, Alisa was an absolute joy.  They shared the love of the sport and as a skating community we got to share in that  passion, whether it was when they were celebrating a mastered move, a moment of encouragement or even at times an occasional eye roll because mom wanted to see it again.

Rhyann's spirit and passion will forever be carried on through the skater's she's mentored, by her team mates and by our club.  A donation will made on behalf of our skaters in Rhyann's name to ALS.

Please keep Alisa, Chad, Livie and Owen in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
